Antalya guide
Antalya guide Antalya lies on Turkey`s south-western coast, in the Mediterranean region. The cities closest to Antalya are Fethiye, 200 kilometres to the West; Mersin, 480 kilometres to the east; and Konya, 320 kilometres to the northeast.

What is there to do in Antalya?
Antalya`s landscape is diverse, from mountainous Kemer to the flat plains of Side. Due to the varied landscape, some Antalyan towns, such as Side do not offer sea views. The best areas for sea views are Kas and Kalkan.

The region offers great variety. You can find city life in Antalya City, which is home to almost two million residents; a golfing paradise at Belek; sandy beaches and ruins in Side; a skiing holiday in Kemer; sophisticated living in Kalkan, and Turkey`s best kept secret: Kas.

Why buy a property in Antalya?
The area is renowned for its long summers and short winters, with 300 sunny days a year. Below you will find a small table showing approximate temperatures throughout the year. During the summer months the weather has been known to rise to temperatures of over forty degrees Celsius. The winter months, from December to March, bring average temperatures of around twelve and thirteen degrees. In early spring and late autumn you can expect a few light showers.

Beaches

Alanya Cleopatra Beach65 km

Alanya Cleopatra Beach One of Alanya`s two beaches is the highly popular Cleopatra`s beach. Located to the west of the peninsula, its impressive white shores are peculiar to this beach. Legend has it that Mark Anthony had this sand imported from Egypt especially for Cleopatra..

The sand remains sacred and there are strict rules against carrying it away. At each exit on the beach are showers which you must use before leaving the beach, so as to wash off all the sand and leave it at the beach.

The beach itself is relatively small and secluded. It has remarkably clear waters which prove popular with swimmers and snorkerllers. Other activities here include wind-surfing and water skiing.

The beachfront is lined with various hotels and restaurants so you will have everything at hand.

Antalya Konyaalti Beach76 km

Antalya Konyaalti Beach This popular Blue Flag beach is on Antalya`s west side. It is a seven-kilometre stretch of pebbles and rough sand with a breathtaking view of the 3000-metre high Bey mountains and beautiful crystal clear water.

The water is refreshingly cooler than other beaches in Antalya due to an underground creek which flows out to the sea.
Spacious Konyaalti beach can easily be reached via the tram line or Dolmus minibus from Antalya`s city center and is often the beach of choice on weekends for the residents of Antalya.

Attractions

Damlatas Cave65 km

Damlatas Cave The Damlatas Cave was discovered in 1948 by workmen carrying out quarrying work at Damlatas Beach. The 13.5 metre long, 15 metre high cave remains a humid twenty two degrees all year round. Visitors flock to the cave to see the colourful stalactites, some of which reach from ceiling to cave floor. The cave`s radioactivity levels and high volume of carbon dioxide are said to benefit asthma and bronchitis sufferers. The beach itself is also a popular sightseeing spot.

Rafting on Alanya`s waters64 km

Rafting on Alanya`s waters Adventure-seekers can get their adrenaline pumping on a rafting trip on Alanya`s crystal clear rivers. It`s a scenic two-hour drive to Koprulu Canyon National Park, where the rapidly flowing water will make even the most hardy thrill seeker`s heart beat a little faster. Rushing down a wild river in the sunshine through the stunning Turkish countryside is an unforgettable experience.

Aspendos Theatre27 km

Aspendos Theatre This incredible structure is the best-preserved Greco-Roman theatre in the world. Once part of the ancient city of Aspendos, the theatre could hold around 7,000 people.

Aspendos Theatre was built around 155 AD and was designed by the Greek architect Zenon under the rule of Marcus Aurelius.

Built into the hillside, it is designed so that the audience feels cut off from the rest of the world; their reality suspended for the duration of the performance.

The Aspendos International Opera and Ballet Festival holds performances in the theatre each year in June and July. To catch an opera or ballet here would surely be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Golf Courses

Pasha Golf Club42 km

Pasha Golf Club The Pasha winds its way through the forest of Belek and sits peacefully amongst the snow capped Tauraus moutnains. With surrounding pine trees and lakes, this 18 holes course is remarkably scenic.

With its undulating course and obstacles, it provides challanges for both the low and high handicappers. This golf course will provide a unforgettable experience and a wonderul game for all players.

The shorter length coupled with generous fairways will not unfairly punish the higher handicapper for any wayward shots.
Towering umbrella pines, crystal clear lakes and the snow capped Taurus Mountains provide a spectacular backdrop to the course as it winds its way through the forest of Belek, the peaceful surroundings interrupted only by the call of the Hoope birds."

Suena Golf Club40 km

Suena Golf Club Without a doubt, Sueno boasts two of the most beautiful courses you’ll ever play on. As for the price, playing here is a real bargain. The courses differ when it comes to required skill level, but not when it comes to quality. The 20 lakes and 128 bunkers blend seamlessly into the environment to make an attractive, modern day facility. The course was designed by PGA Design Consulting meaning it is top of the range.

Dunes course

This 18-hole, par-69 Dunes course carves its way through natural sand dunes; players remark on the spectacular views and the way the course blends seamlessly with its surroundings. The holes wind their way through mature pines, but this course is more open than the Pines course.

Pines course

The Pines course is longer and more taxing than the Dunes course; it offers a challenge for low handicappers and golfing veterans. Heavily wooded with tall pines and water features, the island green’s 18th hole offers a spectacular finish.

Facilities

Practice your swing on the 25-bay driving range, your putting on the putting green, and your chipping on the chipping green. Trollies, golf carts and clubs are available for hire and if you feel you could use some advice from a pro, there are PGA professionals available to give you a helping hand. An a la carte restaurant provides meals and snacks all day long.

Transport

Sueno is located just 30 kilometres from Antalya Airport. There are good transport links between Antalya City and Belek.

Dress Code

Soft spiked shoes must be worn on the course. Jeans and trainers are prohibited. Bermuda shorts are allowed, but socks must also be worn. Collared shirts and proper golfing clothing preferred.

Cost

Pines: 66-110 Euros
Dunes: 59-94 Euros
